this is last week's show (not tonight's), which includes, among many others, one of my favorite SONIC YOUTH jams, "hits of sunshine," from a thousand leaves. yes, please.
oh - speaking of sonic youth... they have announced that the "rampant speculation" and rumors are true: SY's forthcoming album will be released "sometime in 2009" by MATADOR Records. Hell ya! ... Seems like a perfect union, to me.
